Kamusta everybody!! Kamusta ang imong adlaw? (How is your day?)
Can you believe that 6 1/2 weeks have flown by already?? I can't believe that I'm flying to the Philippines tomorrow at 3 in the morning! It's definitely a bittersweet moment. I'm so excited to go, but so sad to leave. But I know I'm ready for this new adventure in my life.
This letter is going to be kind of short, but it's my final goodbye here in the MTC before I fly thousands of miles away from home to the Philippines where I get to serve the Lord for another 16 1/2 months!
I just want to take this opportunity to thank those that have supported me and my dream of serving a Mission. Thank you so much!!! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't even be here. And if I hadn't come here, my life wouldn't have changed. I look back to before I entered the MTC, and I've changed so much. It's only been 3 weeks, and I've changed so much! It's crazy how much a mission can change your life. I'm definitely not the person I was before my mission, and I've only been here at the MTC, so I can't imagine who I'm going to be after I serve the people of the Philippines. Every time I think of serving the Lord and His children, it brings tears to my eyes. Serving a mission is probably one of the greatest things you could EVER do for the Lord. To those that want to serve a mission or have thought about serving a mission but aren't sure, don't think, just do! I promise you that you will not regret serving one. It will change your life for the better. You will come back from your mission a completely different person. You will have changed your life, those you serve, and the life of your future family. If you think serving a mission is sacrificing 18-24 months of your life, think again. It's not a sacrifice, because you're doing it for your Lord. He gives you so much in your life, the least you could do is give Him 18-24 months to serve His children and bring them to Him. I promise that you will be blessed tremendously for serving Him.
Thank you mom and dad for everything you've done for me and supporting me in my dreams. Thank you brothers for being the best siblings I've ever had and supporting me in everything I do, and putting up with my weird, annoying moments.
The people of the Philippines awaits me! See you in 16 1/2 months!!
Gihigugma kita!
Gugma,
